Jason Leyendecker

Jason Leyendecker - AuD - Owner

Dr. Jason graduated from A.T. Still University in Mesa, Arizona in 2010, and is now the owner of Audiology Concepts. He has been with Audiology Concepts since 2008 when he was a student. Dr Jason has always believed that great service comes with great knowledge. He prides himself with staying up on all the latest technologies and treatments to best serve his patients. Dr. Jason has recently purchased Audiology Concepts and plans to continue the legacy that Dr. Schwartz created. You can expect the best experience with friendly and knowledgeable staff.

Dr. Jason has a specialty in tinnitus management, and is an Adjunct Assistant Professor at A.T. Still University where he teaches Tinnitus and sensitivity to sound management. This requires Dr. Jason to stay up on the latest treatments and management solutions for hearing, tinnitus, and sound sensitivity.

When not in the offices you can find Dr. Jason outdoors, spending time with his family and friends!

Stacey Dimond

Stacey Dimond - AuD

Dr. Stacey joined Audiology Concepts in 2017 after relocating back to the Twin Cities. She’s excited to be a part of the Audiology Concepts family. Dr. Stacey has been practicing Audiology since 2009. Her education background includes undergraduate and graduate work at the University of Wisconsin- Stevens Point.

Dr. Stacey’s passion for Audiology comes from an ever-present desire to improve people’s quality of life through better hearing and communication skills. It is Dr. Stacey’s belief that her educational, professional, and personal experiences make her an Audiologist who can change a person’s life for the better!

In her free time, Dr. Stacey enjoys gardening and cooking while spending time her husband Jesse, and their beautiful daughter Lainey. Dr. Stacey looks forward to providing exceptional hearing services and creating personal relationships with all her patients at Audiology Concepts.

Dr. Stacey works primarily in our Burnsville location, as well as sees patients in our Tinnitus and Hyperacusis clinic.

Rachel Allgor

Rachel Allgor - AuD

Beginning the spring of 2016, Dr. Rachel joined the Audiology Concepts family as a graduate student, training with Dr. Jason. In 2017 upon graduating from A.T. Still University in Mesa, AZ, Dr. Rachel joined our team full time. A native of Hastings, MN, Dr. Rachel completed her undergraduate degree at Minnesota State University Moorhead, before heading to Arizona to complete her graduate degree. Having worked in both our Burnsville and Edina locations, she is excited to continue with Audiology Concepts and watch it grow!

“I believe I’ve been given a unique perspective on audiology because I wear a hearing device every day too. Between by history of growing up going to audiologists and my education, I believe I’ve been able to observe and learn what a great Audiologists should be like, and I strive towards that daily. My goal is to help patients in the way they need it, a tailor fit for each individual.”

Dr. Rachel is dedicated to giving her patients excellent service by staying current in evidence-based best practices of diagnostics, amplification fitting, tinnitus/hyperacusis/misophonia treatment, and hearing protection. When she’s not in the office you can find her with family, on the tennis courts, or participating in church activities.

Emily Raway

Emily Raway - AuD

Dr. Emily is happy to be a part of the growth of Audiology Concepts! Joining Audiology Concepts in August 2018, we are excited to have Dr. Emily on our team!
Dr. Emily was raised near Akron, Ohio where she graduated from Northeast Ohio Audiology Consortium in 2011. After completing her degree, she moved to Minnesota to start her Audiology career. Dr. Emily enjoys mentoring 3rd and 4th year doctoral students, as well as being a contributing member of the Minnesota Academy of Audiology.

Dr. Emily lives in St. Paul with her husband Kenny. They are working on restoring their historic Arts & Crafts home. In her free time she enjoys gardening, live theater, spending time with family and friends, road trips, wine tasting and cooking.

James Johnston
Licensed Hearing Instrument Specialist

James Johnston - Licensed Hearing Instrument Specialist

James joined the Audiology Concepts family in 2009. Starting first in administrative in receptionist duties, he became a Licensed Hearing Instrument Specialist in the spring of 2015.

“Working for a private practice of this caliber has required me to continue my education and make sure my patients are getting the best professional hearing health care. My goal is to ensure your first visit is handled with the same care and enthusiasm as any of your following visits. I pride myself with going the extra mile. I want you to know that you are your ears are valued and not just a number in our database. Staying up-to-date with new technologies and the ever changing medical field is something my co-workers and I take very seriously. I want you to hear all the sounds this world has to offer, and make sure your expectations are not only met, but exceeded.”

James does everything from follow up appointments, re-programming and Bluetooth connections to your cell phones and accessories, Lyric fittings, troubleshooting, and counseling of new and returning patients.

James and his wife Lauren have two children, and look forward to the many challenges that are quickly coming. He’s a proud father, so be prepared to hear the latest, or see a photo should you inquire.

Kathy Wieser
Licensed Hearing Instrument Specialist

Kathy Wieser - Licensed Hearing Instrument Specialist

Kathy is a licensed hearing instrument specialist and serves as the Clinic Director for the Tinnitus and Hyperacusis Clinic. She joined Audiology Concepts in 2006. She loves being a part a team approach to helping people.

Her background includes a B.A.S. in Communicative Disorders from UMD, a teaching degree from Augsburg College and a Minnesota Hearing Instrument Dispenser License. She enjoys getting to know people of all ages and helping where she can.

Kathy is available to assist people in finding the right hearing device for them. She also does hearing device clean and checks, assesses repair needs, and helps with counseling, programming and ear care. In the Tinnitus clinic she works in coordinating services, answering questions, follow up care and visits, support. She also sees her own patients suffering from Misophonia.

When she is not in the office she enjoys biking, reading, and cooking. Her new favorite hobby is time with her twin grandsons – there is always a picture to share.

Sarah Kaufman

Sarah Kaufman - Student of Doctor of Audiology

Sarah joins the Audiology Concepts family as a 4th year doctoral student in Audiology, learning and training with Dr. Jason. Currently a student at A.T. Still University, Sarah is glad to be a part to be learning from such a great team.

“Having family members with hearing loss has motivated me to always give the best patient care”.

You will see Sarah in our office working with Dr. Jason in patient care. She is also available to help troubleshoot device problems, answer a phone call, or greet you with a smile!

Being a Minnesota native, you can find Sarah in her free time up north at the lake. She is recently married and is eager to start her career in Audiology!

Dr. Schwartz founded Audiology Concepts in 2002. While she has since retired, she sold the practice to Dr. Jason Leyendecker. You can expect the same care and service as you always have.
